Less Is More: Eve's Most Alluring Outfits

Image
Why Stellar Blade's Most Alluring Outfits Are the Ones That Hide the Most I’m having a blast with Stellar Blade , the latest action game from Shift Up. As I dive into my second playthrough in New Game Plus, I’m growing even fonder of the combat, the story, and the world. I’m also uncovering more outfits for Eve—many of which wouldn’t look out of place on a high-end fashion Instagram page. The game offers over 70 different outfits, and while plenty are undeniably sexy, some of the most alluring ones are surprisingly modest. It’s no surprise that this game has been at the center of online debates recently, particularly concerning Eve—a fierce soldier who dominates enemies while turning heads. Some players are up in arms over what they perceive as “censorship” of certain outfits, going so far as to create petitions demanding that Stellar Blade be freed from the supposed grip of prudish restrictions. It’s certainly a perspective, though it’s worth noting that Eve and her wardrob...

Mafia: The Old Country — A Mini-Epic of Place and Pacing

Image
A Story That Knows Its Boundaries Mafia: The Old Country feels like a breath of fresh, dusty air because it skips all the modern game nonsense we can expect. No scavenger hunts. No pointless races. No annoying fetch requests. Just the main plot, coiled like a taut wire, ready for you to bite. You can practically swallow the whole thing in one sitting—quick, no fuss—right when others fatten their worlds with busywork. The opening chapters do shuffle and stall, drowning in set-up and atmosphere, but the second the engine roars, the story just goes and doesn’t look back. In a moment when most games stuff their hollow “content” to milk loops, this feels like a silent, proud blast from the past. The game’s quiet ace is that punch of shortness that feels tougher than it looks. It never hires the fat, never pretends to be anything grand. The plot slices through the familiar scar of mob kitsch and, by not hanging around, somehow makes that scar glow. What really hooks you in The Old Country...

Star Wars Outlaws (PS5) Review

Image
Among the things I like in  Star Wars Outlaws is the world-building, an intricate and interwoven tapestry drawing heavily on the vast Star Wars lore. The story takes place between  the events of The Empire is Striking Back in the series and  Return of the Jedi . A time that is filled with conflict and tension, as well as the ever-increasing pressure that is the Empire. The period was explored through a range of different media but  Star Wars Outlaws explores the dark side, which is a part of the galaxy that is often hinted at, yet rarely thought about. Seamless World-Building: The Fascinating Star Wars Universe Star Wars Outlaws is much more than an innovative entry into the world of gaming and a celebration of the intricate story that has formed this Star Wars universe for over forty years. It is a new game for players and fans of the universe who buy PS5 games when they come out, even if they are a little on ...

Hellblade II Review: Beyond Conventional Thrills

Image
London can often feel damp, with an oppressive drizzle that seeps deep into one's bones long after the rain has stopped falling, an example of "British weather" that we are accustomed to. I know this feeling, all too well I may say - its influence even seeping into some of my gaming choices! Hellblade II stood out as promising an introspective journey, but what caught me somewhat unaware was how deeply its pages would dig into my own anxieties. Hellblade II is an awkward game that stands apart from traditional action-adventure titles in that it features psychological horror elements reminiscent of horror fiction novels. The game offers an intense psychological experience as you traverse Senua's mind in her struggle against psychosis. It is an exceptional experience, not easy to find in other games, even unique I may say, and for this reason, you must buy Hellblade II . Senua is a fighter, a Celtic warrior who defines mental instability and psychosis, and this instabil...

Stellar Blade: Excellent Combat System and Visuals

Image
Stellar Blade may feature an older engine, yet its visuals are anything but underwhelming. From carefully detailed environments filled with environmental details like crumbling skyscrapers piercing through thick clouds of smog-choked skies to intricate textures on Eve's weathered armor - developers put great care and talent into crafting Stellar Blade, so it remains visually striking without resorting to flashier technological options. It is hard to find fault with Stellar Blade's visuals: they are not a minus but a strong plus. Borrowing, Blending, and Brawling Stellar Blade offers an engaging blend of influences in its combat system. Fans of  NieR: Automata  may recognize some elements from that title's frenetic action while veterans of Dark Souls' parry system will recognize its emphasis on timing and strategic parrying - this results in an engaging blend of familiar yet distinct gameplay that requires mastering its Beta Gauge parrying system...

The Thrilling Gameplay of Sea of Thieves

Image
As I prepare to share my reflections on this game, it dawns on me: I have spent over 720 hours immersed in its depths - mastering every facet of its gameplay to reaching level 20 with all companies; in short, this realm has given me many adventures which I have proudly conquered. Sea of Thieves may hold the secret to your riches. Whether adventure, camaraderie with friends, or solo exploration are your passions, Sea of Thieves awaits your command and awaits discovery by all. Be mindful that true riches often lie not beneath the ground but instead within bonds formed amidst turbulent waters; shared laughter after daring escape attempts and friendships formed across ocean depths that endure far past initial voyages. Part of a team is better... multiplayer offers the best experience... Sea of Thieves provides immense pleasure when players successfully coordinate as part of a team to navigate challenges and triumphs on an unending ocean. Indeed...

Sherlock Holmes - Chapter One's Ambitious Approach

Image
In the latest installment, Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One takes a big leap in its approach compared to previous games in the series. What's intriguing is its exploration of a lesser-known period in Sherlock Holmes' life – his early 20s. Here, he's not the prodigy often depicted in movies, nor is he the iconic super detective we instantly recognize with his deerstalker hat and pipe. I do not know if Chapter One may be put next to monsters of action-adventure like God of War Ragnarök,  Assassin's Creed Valhalla , Ghost of Tsushima, or Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, however, it is a tight decision this one. (If you want to find out the  best action-adventure games  of last year you may see one of our previous articles.) In any case, Chapter One is certainly the best Sherlock Holmes game, no matter how you rank it in comparison with other action-adventure games. Sherlock's Evolving Mental State Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One commences with Sherlock arriving at th...

Cal's Internal Struggle: Battling the Empire's Dominance

Image
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor takes place around five years after the events in Fallen Order, continuing the journey of Cal Kestis as he confronts the Galactic Empire. Over time, the familiar crew of the Mantis has dispersed, leaving Cal to take charge of the ship in Greez's absence. Despite his efforts, Cal starts questioning the purpose of battling the Empire, as he hasn't significantly impacted their dominance in the last five years. In the previous game, Cal grappled with the weight of being a Jedi, the isolation it brought, and his struggles with learning the ways of the Jedi. Expansive Universe: Enhanced Worlds and Quests Regarding the returning characters like Merrin, Cere, and Greez, their time apart over the years allowed them to find aspects of life they'd been searching for but hadn't previously had the chance to explore internally. For example, Greez has settled down and now runs Pyloon's Saloon. Interestingly, this becomes your main hub that expands as yo...

Image
For Honor, the renowned title by Ubisoft received a transformative update in the form of Marching Fire. This expansion not only breathed new life into the game but also introduced various novelties that seamlessly integrated into the existing gameplay. Ubisoft's commitment to revitalizing the experience has finally addressed the longstanding demand for fresh content since the game's initial release. Exploring the Enhanced Challenges of For Honor Marching Fire With the release of Marching Fire, Ubisoft aimed to infuse For Honor with a renewed sense of challenge. They successfully accomplished this objective by introducing an array of exciting features and adjustments to the gameplay. Just as a flame ignites the darkness, For Honor: Marching Fire sets ablaze the world of gaming when you  buy cheap Xbox games , bringing forth a burning passion for epic medieval warfare and a sense of honor that reverberates through every strategic strike. The expansion breathes new life into the...

Gotham Knights is a fun Arkham game

Image
Gotham Knights comes up short in several noteworthy areas. Because of a bug, the game run at 30 fps on current-generation consoles. Gotham Knights likewise are suffering from performance issues that vary from funny bugs to irritating hindrances the essential grave of which is that of the framerate. 60 FPS performance modes are now the norm in current-generation video game titles, and Gotham Knights feel truly sluggish without the extra boost. Unfortunately, Gotham Knights Xbox falter when it comes to performance. And, perhaps the most ridiculous it is that virtually all of the videogames they've played in the last twenty years, up to the beginning of this new generation, were 30fps. I'd like to point out the fact that Gotham Knights is apparently playable for the duration of the game online co-op. However, the short timeframe of the review prevented me from playing that video game. Gotham Knights' content will sink you into an absolute morass of canon statements and assum...

God of War (2018): Discover the Zeus Armor

Image
The notion of the Zeus Armor set in God of War (2018) as a tremendously efficacious choice for countering Sigrun in NG+ cannot be overstated. This particular set of armor can only be acquired by completely subduing all the Valkyries in the game on the infamous "Give Me God of War" difficulty, and offers a phenomenal boost to Kratos' damage output, albeit at the cost of his defense. Zeus Armor vs Valkyrie Armor However, when comparing the Zeus Armor set with the Valkyrie Armor set, the latter is often perceived as the more versatile and well-rounded option. While the Zeus Armor set is a viable choice for players seeking to deliver a crushing blow to Sigrun, the Valkyrie Armor set strikes a fine balance between Kratos' offense and defense. Its fully upgraded form provides a significant boost to Kratos' strength, runic, and cooldown while maintaining a towering level of defense. The Valkyrie Armor set is like a masterful chef's recipe that balances a delicate bl...
