Oddworld Soulstorm - great fun platformer

Oddworld Soulstorm is a beautiful and challenging, probably one of the best platformer games in the recent time. It is out for PS5, PC and PS4. I wasn't expecting much from Oddworld, after all it is an indie game. But I was wrong, and it is not just a great indie platform game, but a great game, period. The puzzles can be a little frustrating as they are difficult, but that's really what makes me tick. I want to continue playing because it is difficult. If you like difficult games, than you will like this one. It reminds me of some very old games I played when I was young, like Lemmings on Spectrum (yeah, I am that old!). Among the new PS5 games out there, Oddworld Soulstorm is a nice option.

Oddworld Soulstorm is looking great. From beautiful cutscenes to stunning environments, Soulstorm is a sight to behold. Better platforming and contemporary touches create this reimagining of Abe's Exodus truly exceptional.  Soulstorm chooses the template of Abe's Exoddus and expands it it's much less of a straight remake than New'n' Tasty was, and much more of a reimagining. Abe can now loot bins and lockers looking for crafting materials. It is a lot of improvement on Soulstorm over the previous games, and working on new consoles (it is one of the PS5 games just released) brings a lot of benefits: smoother gameplay, better looking graphic, and more.

Oddworld: Soulstorm's repetitive gameplay doesn't make it a bad game title, but it will limit the demographic of gamers which will completely enjoy the game title all the way through. Its story and visuals are extremely impressive and help carry a great deal of the game title's fat, but playing through hour-long amounts with very little story elements in between may make Oddworld: Soulstorm a very slow burn. Fans of the Oddworld franchise and 2D platforming games won't be disappointed, but Oddworld: Soulstorm will not keep everyone hooked for quite long. If you like good PS5 adventure games, than you will have a blast with this platformer.

Stealth is often compulsory, because defense mechanisms in certain regions hamper your ability to mind control the slig guards. Avoid the short enemy vision drops while holding a sneak button to creep tip-toes or jump with caution and you should be OK. Alerted foes shoot on sight, but stay concealed and they forget anything was wrong. A lot of the time it's not only about your own survival, but obtaining your friends to safety. You do not have to save them, but you might feel guilty if you don't, and you will want to get the majority out to access the console game's complete end.

Oddworld: Soulstorm simply could be the best Oddworld video game, also one of the very best video games of all time. With better graphics, revised gameplay mechanics, and a cinematic feel, Oddworld Soulstorms is a hit. I would recommend you to buy Oddworld Soulstorm PS5 and enjoy this classic video game.
