Ghost Recon Breakpoint a step back from Wildlands TPS game

Ghost Recon Breakpoint is an online tactical shooter video game developed by Ubisoft Paris and published by Ubisoft in 2019. Breakpoint build on Ghost Recon Wildlands by bringing military survival and spec ops gameplay together, while promising to deliver a deeper story and more tactical approaches than ever before. This is one of the most expected xbox one shooting games of the year.
The game was released on 4 October 2019, for Microsoft PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and in November 2019 for the Google Stadia. It is the 11th installment in the Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon franchise and is a narrative sequel to the 2017 video game Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands. With the recent news following this financial report which sees multiple hotly-anticipated Ubisoft titles like Rainbow Six Quarantine and Watch Dogs: Legion delayed until 2020, perhaps all of the negative feedback and criticism the company has received regarding Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint Xbox One has finally begun to sink in.
While Ubisoft is sure to take a monetary loss by delaying so many of their games to the next fiscal year, the extra development time will hopefully allow for those games to become more like the polished, complete experiences the company used to be known for. While it undeniably improves upon many of the criticisms the core community had with Ghost Recon Wildlands, Breakpoint does take a few steps back at times with some out of place RPG mechanics and a myriad of glitches that consistently work to hamper the moment to moment gameplay.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint doesn't have a clear vision of what it wants to be. Its foundation was established in Ghost Recon Wildlands, which left behind the linear levels and purely tactical gameplay of previous entries for an open-world shooter romp. Still, it is a nice game to have, surely will be improved and you may added easily to your xbox one games collection.
While having a lot of potential in its premise, and a greatly balanced gameplay, Breakpoint's underachievement in graphics and poor yet obligatory transit across Auroa, make this game a less worthy title in Ghost Recon history. Ghost Recon Breakpoint feels like a mashup of many of the elements of not only Wildlands, but also Ubisoft's other recent properties like The Division 2 and Far Cry New Dawn. Having a competent driver or pilot is important in "Ghost Recon Breakpoint." The archipelago of Auroa is enormous and players will need vehicles to traverse it. (Ubisoft) Rather than the slightly tone-deaf take on Bolivia from Ghost Recon Wildlands, players are tasked with exploring an island chain called Auroa.
Excepting Walker the game lacks any interesting characters and it's slim, under-cooked story suffers for it. Likewise it's varied locations and enemies combined with its tactical, weighty gameplay can only do so much in the face of increasingly repetitive missions with only slight flashes of personality. Ghost Recon Breakpoint is the latest entry in Ubisoft's open-world tactical shooter series, bringing with it a litany of new gameplay systems and an epic villain in the form of Colonel Walker. Feeling like an attempt at a best of experience for recent Ubisoft games, Ghost Recon Breakpoint fails to capture what has made the series special in the past in all of the important areas.
Overall Ghost Recon Breakpoint can be an entertaining time, the story is engaging and overall it's a fun game but the lack of polish and refinement are extremely disappointing, fans of the squad-based theming of prior titles will also need to look elsewhere.
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Primary version reviewed was for Xbox One. The game was provided by BuyGames: buy cheap xbox one games.
