Sand Land is out! It is a game set among dunes, yet do not expect a desert party with Oriental music but a spectacular action adventure with Beelzebub at its center and Akira Toriyama's art style.  Will Sand Land provide a satisfying challenge, or will it instead focus on story and exploration? Fans are eagerly awaiting details and I am happy to give you my thoughts about the game in this piece. What is Sand Land? Is it worth your time (and money)? What features stand out? I will touch on these big questions and hopefully, you will find the answer you're looking for. Let's start!

What is Sand Land?

Sand Land is a single-player game but not an individual journey, as you will not travel alone across its desert terrain but join up with Sheriff Rao and Anne as companions. It is an alliance for a common goal: to find the mythical Spring. Sheriff Rao, a character you may met in Dragon Ball, is joining your fight and doing its job, while Anne may contribute a devastating combo move. If you're looking to buy new PS5 games in the style of Dragon Ball, Sand Land gives players plenty of options to explore and fight even if the two games are not quite similar (but they have some things in common, like Sheriff Rao, design style, and more).

Is Sand Land Worth it?

Now comes the big question: is Sand Land worth your time? The answer is a resounding "yes,", as Sand Land offers an intriguing world bursting with potential, rich combat, and quirky character designs. The choice of a desert may seem strange as it is not the kind of environment that is meant to offer plenty of possibilities but you would be wrong: players who engage in playing Sand Land will discover an engaging yet stark desert setting that is vibrant and full of life. The graphics/art style involving Akira Toriyama is a strong selling point and fans of the genre, as well as fans of Toriyama's work (including Dragon Ball), should be intrigued.

Who Will Get More Value from Sand Land?

Sand Land appears to perform admirably across both newer (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S) and older generation consoles such as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. While reviewers on Metacritic note slightly longer loading times on older hardware, its core gameplay experience remains intact and comparable good. For this reason, I recommend Sand Land if you buy cheap PS4 games, as you will get the best value from it, however, this is just an opinion because the game is an attractive option regardless of your console generation preference.

Verdict: An Impressive Action Adventure Game with Great Combat and Exploration

Sand Land ignites high hopes. From Toriyama-designed worlds and dynamic combat systems to expansive exploration and an intriguing narrative, Sand Land seems very well put together and highly entertaining. This game can deliver and all unknowns were answered, most of them in a positive manner, so adventurers should keep this title top-of-mind (maybe you can find a deal to buy Sand Land?) because it is worth it. Though Sand Land looks impressively, and it is quite flashy in terms of combat, some questions remain. I would have loved to see the game as a multiplayer adventure, especially since we have a group of characters coming together to fight the enemies, however, it is a single-player video game.
