It Takes Two - the best 2 persons split-screen co-op game
We come to play It Takes Two, the 2 players cooperative game from Hazelight Studios (developer) and Electronic Arts (publisher) and we were stunned by how intelligent and well-executed it is. It is the best couch co-op game that I've ever played! I was rather modest when I added "2-players" in the title because it is two players multiplayer only. At the same specs and prices, It Takes Two beats other multiplayer games without a problem. Of course, you have to appreciate the kind of gameplay it offers. It is a puzzle platform, not exactly the cooperative gameplay of MMO shooters that flooded the market.
Cupid's Arrow has hit the mark, and It Takes Two succeeds in bringing you close to the loved one. You cannot say this thing about many games. The combination of romantic comedy and co-op gaming is a match made for heaven and provides many hours of entertainment together - the keyword here is "together." It Takes Two is a story about a couple who try to reconnect, and developers managed to capture the charm and whimsey of the genre. It Takes Two was a great story, despite Dr. Hakim's presence. I enjoyed the integration of Cody and May's reconciliation efforts into the gameplay.
This game is captivating and once you start it, you become determined to finish it. The endless switching of mechanics between chapters and scenes is something I've never seen in a game. You have in one game different sorts of gameplay, and even if some may be technically similar, they do not feel that way, and it never becomes boring. This game is great for anyone looking to get into gaming with a friend, or a partner. There's something for everyone. I don't want the game to end, but I realize that we can still go back and play it again as different characters. Among the Xbox Series X adventure games, It Takes Two occupies a niche place because it requires two players and is a puzzle-adventure platform co-op, but if you have the chance to play it, you will be impressed!
There are many gameplay mechanics that the game uses from different video game genres. This is another important aspect because there are not too many "more of a kind" moments in the game, but veritable changes that probably required a lot of skills from the developers to incorporate them. These mechanics are linked to the story and the overall theme of each level, they belong organically, you never have the feeling that it is forced or hurried. Another thing I like is that each character faces its own challenges, which are a token of the game's success in the co-op realm. You can actually play it twice, changing the character.
It was a great coop experience that took us through many genres and gameplays. It Takes Two is a great game by Hazelight Studios that prove they learned the lessons of their previous games and listen to player's feedback. It's an enjoyable game to share with your spouse, kids, or friends, and the design looks as fun as it is to actually play. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a fun and fresh co-op experience. This game has raised the bar in co-op and platform puzzle-solving games. I hope other developers take inspiration from it to create similar games. I end up recommending you to try this game, and if you want to buy cheap Xbox Series X, consider It Takes Two for your platform.
