Little Hope is a genuinely great time horror game
Little Hope is the second game of The Dark Pictures Anthology. It is a survival horror game, probably one of the best PS5 horror games every released, certainly the best so far in the franchise's history. It is a strange game with a tense atmosphere, probably a delight for horror game fans. It contains more symbolism than Man of Medan, the first game of the Anthology. It is not quite obvious the symbolism, but it is more effective and has a deeper emotional impact. It is very good how everything comes together in this game.
Little Hope has amazing graphics and story
Little Hope is a pretty great game to play and will make a lot of people happy as it is a game meant for anybody, not only the fans of the genre. The story will get anyone hooked because it's pretty intriguing. Also the graphics and story are at the same level and work very good together. Jump-scares may work in a first play-through, but overtime they may become predictable and repetitive. The developers seems to have discovered their feet, and for the survival horror genre this game is a great addition. I would say that Little Hope did everything nicely. It can be played on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. I love this game and I am looking forward to playing the next game of the Anthology.
The story is quite good and efficiently and it seems it unites three eras. We will most likely have to play the game a few times to fully understand the entire story, which is a good sign. Little Hope is a masterpiece, and I will argue the best part are the images. You will be as astonished as I was to find the level of detail involved. Not only what it is in foreground, but also the background - it's so deep and controversial! I must say that I adored it. I don't have any doubt that as soon as the complete Dark Photographs Anthology is complete and sold as a bundle, that history will remember it quite fondly. Now we can safely say it is one of the best Xbox Series X/S horror games.
Little Hope is a masterpiece of horror games
Little Hope is a genuinely great time horror game, that is not really at the apex of what the staff behind it can achieve. A excellent second step from the new horror franchise of Supermassive Games. Little Hope is the name of this town in the video game and it's also representative of the little bit of hope that Supermassive would learn from its errors and return to making classic horror adventures. Unlike Man of Medan, which was a modern-day narrative, Little Hope's narrative covers several timelines, together with the narrative leaping back and forth between the present and the past.
The characters are simple but not dull, the fairytale similarities are enjoyable to read (especially for people that are folk tale enthusiasts), some of the lines will make you chuckle, as well as the minimal description says a good deal about the characters and symbolism. But in case you have a dark sense of humor, want to read a unique folk tale, and love horror stories, try this one out and see if you have the creeps or even the giggles. It is also interesting to buy cheap PS5 games like this one. As gripping as Little Hope's four-hour runtime is, its ending may come as a huge disappointment to the majority of the players. Best console game of Supermassive games until today, fantastic history, very good horror.
