Darksiders Genesis reinvent itself as co-op hack and slash video game

Darksiders Genesis is one of the prequels to the first Darksiders game in the series, which allows us for the first time to play as the unknown until now Horseman known as Strife. The game is set before the events of Darksiders 1 and for the first time in the franchise's history, introduces Co-Op gameplay mechanics. Darkside Genesis was developed by Airship Syndicate and published by THQ Nordic at the end of 2019 (December 5, 2019) for Stadia and Microsoft Windows, and in the first quarter of 2020 for PS4, Xbox One and Switch (14 February 2020). Darksiders Genesis introduces the fourth and last horseman Strife, as well as co-op gameplay for the first time in the history of the franchise. Isometric gameplay fits the Darksiders formula surprisingly well, and Strife is given a lot more character by having War by his side. We played it on Xbox One X, so I guess this is one of the new xbox one games out there, but you can certainly play it on any other game device available. 

Strife goes for the long-distance approach, and War opts for melee, and in a video game where you can easily find yourself facing many enemies, sometime eight or more at a time, choosing the one who can keep a crowd at bay from far felt like an easy thing to do. The interaction between Strife and War is more frequent than other Darksiders games and thus creates a strong bond between not only between them but the player. Darksiders Genesis has 16 levels and takes around 10 hours to beat Players need to battle enemies, collect resources, and solve puzzles similar to the mainline games. There is no surpirse that Darksiders Genesis continues the series' penchant for switching up its central gameplay style and influences, this time settling on a Diablo-esque camera angle for its hack-and-slash antics. Gameplay is fun and the ability to switch on the fly between Strife and War allows you to switch up your fighting style against enemies as needed.
