WRC 8 FIA World Rally Championship solid competition to DiRT Rally 2.0

We are taking a look at an off-road rally racing game, the latest installment in the WRC franchise, and I can say without a doubt that WRC 8 FIA World Rally Championship is one of the best ps4 xbox one racing games yet. I play many of racing games that come out each year and I've have reviewed a few dozen, and I have to say that I like the level of complete and total immersion you will find in WRC 8. I have in mind not just the actual race driving, but in every facet of what goes on behind the scenes of a profession race team (management, preparation,...etc.).
WRC 8 is the latest official title to follow the FIA World Rally Championship. It features a host of new off-road physics, the new career mode, a ton of weather conditions, 52 teams, 14 countries, over 100 special stages, and even an e-sports mode. WRC 8 is a rock-solid rally racer that's now a solid competitor to the Dirt Rally 2.0 of Codemasters. It's still not quite as beautiful or broad as Dirt Rally, but the improvements did the job, particularly the dynamic weather and the vastly improved career mode. These are real gamechangers that they launched WRC 8 at the top of xbox / ps4 racing games we have.
While there are a handful of modes to play and try out, Career Mode is where I spent at least 90% of my time with WRC 8 when I play alone. While the bulk of your gameplay will obviously be racing in the stages and championships, there's a whole new element to the Career mode this time around, as you'll actually partake in being a part of the whole team like a manager. WRC 8 offers a proper single-player experience. After I played a little, I added WRC 8 at the top of my best xbox one games.
Considering how fully featured the career mode is, this is the perfect entry-level game as players can begin racing in the Junior WRC with assists and eventually wind up at the top of the world without them on. WRC 8 is an arcade racing game, more than a simulator. There's a real opportunity for growth here and that is what racing games are best at.The game achieves this through its refined gameplay, new dynamic weather system that adds new challenges to driving through stages, and totally revamped career mode that celebrates the team aspect of the sport. Answering emails and dealing with crew fatigue might not be for everyone, and to be honest, the most fun we had was on the track, but things like sponsors offering you race objectives, or racing in-between rally events to impress a new manufacturer made career mode feel a whole lot bigger and more detailed. Also it means it is more realistic.
Races are done in real-time and WRC 8 could be easy with beginners. With ghost mode activated, there is no risk of running into your opponent, there will be no collusion between cars. WRC 8 has elevated itself to the top of the rally tree through a combination of an enjoyable and deep career mode, a well realized driving experience which rewards patience, and a wealth of hand crafted and often breathtaking rally stages. I played WRC 6 PS4, this being the first I played in the series. Players either returning to WRC 8 or joining the franchise for the first time will recognize the standard game modes on offer this time around - from single-player career/championship modes, training and quick race, and the inclusion of both online multiplayer and split-screen.
The game also sees the addition of new classic cars, much like its main rival, Codemasters' DiRT Rally 2.0 PS4/Xbox, including the Lancia Stratos and Renault Alpine The game also offers more content than the previous game, with 102 special stages spread across the championship's 14 countries. A competent entry to the WRC series by Kylotonn Games, and the handling model has improved a lot since their previous outing, however, the title is let down by some oddities and bugs that can sometimes make gameplay more effort than it needs be. Choose this if you want a decent rally experience, without the harrowing difficulty that DiRT Rally will put your way.
