Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus WWII Saga Continues

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is an action-adventure first-person shooter video game developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Softworks. It was released on 27 October 2017 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and was released on 29 June 2018 for Nintendo Switch. The eighth main entry in the Wolfenstein series and the sequel to 2014’s Wolfenstein: The New Order, the game is set in an alternate history which takes place in 1961 following the Nazi victory in the Second World War. The story follows war veteran William “B.J.” Blazkowicz and his efforts to fight against the Nazi regime in America.

Wolfenstein II FPS Story

B.J. Blazkowicz is a sort of super soldier, a near-legendary fighter who woke up in 2014’s Wolfenstein: The New Order after a 14-year coma to a world where the Axis powers won World War II. He joined the resistance against the Nazis, and that last game ended with him setting off a nuclear weapon and, presumably, dying.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is the highly anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed, Wolfenstein: The New Order, there are many links between the two games. Now the war is brought on American soil as in this alternate history scenario Nazis conquered USA. Wolfenstein takes a straightforward approach: if Blazkowicz kills Nazis on an absurd and cartoonish scale, then Nazis have to be absurdly and cartoonishly awful. Whether you are looking for good ps4 games or xbox one games, when it comes to first-person shooters, you can't go wrong with Wolfenstein II.

Wolfenstein II The New Colossus

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus PS4/Xbox One is an action-adventure shooter game played from a first-person perspective. To progress through the story, players battle enemies throughout levels. The game continues the Wolfenstein formula of brutality and intense action as you scour your way through Nazi-controlled America.
The gunplay is quite fun, and the story is intense and written well. The various weapons and mods also work really well for causing havoc. Unfortunately, the levels are still boring grey hallways mostly and the “difficulty” option seems broken. I play most games on one of the harder difficulties and rarely play on normal, not just for the challenge but to get more playability from a game. In this game playing on anything above normal turns what should be a “run and gun” type shooter into a “hide behind cover” and occasionally “peek out” for a shot type shooter. Since your health doesn’t regenerate like in Call of Duty WWII Ps4/Xbox, this is a big issue because you’re supposed to be constantly moving to pick up ammo and health while stealth/shooting enemies. Doom was all ‘run and gun’ and playing on the hardest difficulty didn’t change that.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is certainly an improvement from The New Order and The Old Blood videogames. The drawback is not being able to replay old missions. If you love some shoot-'em-up action this is your console game and you should add it to your collection of ps4 shooting games. The game offers a linear and fast paced gameplay and this is what most of the people are looking for in games. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is exactly what gamers wanted. It is a little more challenging compared to The Old Blood, but of a better quality.
Amongst best ps4 games at your disposal you will discover Wolfenstein II. I recommend you play the other two games that I mentioned before, as this story continues right after The New Order and is better to understand the story (even if you can play just this story). Bethesda and machine Games surprise us with Wolfenstein’s title, which is so entertaining that we did not think it was possible. Due to the excellent Tech 6 engine and a development team that is award winning, we’re facing one of the greatest shooters yet.
